This book has completely transformed my thinking about how to attract the best potential clients/prospects/buyers of what I'm offering online.The process that Ryan has created is unparalleled in how efficient it is in generating new, qualified leads for the entrepreneur who operates an online enterprise.     I'm really not a review person but I had to take a couple of minutes to write about this book because it's just *soooo* good.

    I've been working as a marketing professional for 10+ years now and the idea of surveying the market and testing the offer before building your product or service may seem common sense but it's not common practice.

    Perhaps because business owners are overwhelmed by the idea of market research or because it seems like a waste of time when they "know" that their idea will be a money maker. As a consultant, I've seen this mentality of wanting to skip the research phase first hand both from "book smart" and "street smart" entrepreneurs.

    But the truth is only the market can tell you whether or not you're onto something.

    This book provides a phenomenal guide for figuring out what your prospects want and what they'll be willing to pay for.

    Ryan Levesque lays out exactly step by step how to do it and it couldn't be made more simple. I recommend you read it wherever you are in your career: whether you're just starting out, you're entering a new market or if you've built and sold businesses all your life. I guarantee you'll find value in it.

    I've used his methodology surveying my market for an information product that we ended up *not* creating and going through the survey method saved me thousands of dollars and months of wasted time - all because we got to learn that my "brilliant idea" wasn't what people are looking for.

    It'd have been nice to read about even more case studies because they really help illustrate the author's points but that might be just the "learner" in me - and at some point, it's time to stop learning and start implementing!

    If you're looking to start a new business, enter a new market or continue with your current offers but take your business to the next level, I highly recommend this book! And be prepared to read it more than once... every chapter is gold and you'll find more eye opening "new" stuff each time you read it. It really is an excellent resource.

    I'm not a big reader and I rarely review any products but felt compelled to review Ryan's excellent "Ask" book.

    A couple of reasons I decided to review this book.

    1. It's hands-down one of the most actionable Marketing books I have read (and I'm very selective on books I do read). I first heard about Ryan a couple of years ago when I purchased a video sales letter course. That training was excellent and I kept an eye on Ryan since, knowing that he produces quality work. Later, I was introduced to his Survey Funnel Formula training - which is essentially what is covered in this book but has been revised. This book goes into the genesis of Ryan's approach, how he came across this method (hint: it was by necessity in order to succeed in certain markets) and how he has refined it to succeed in almost any market. Finally, this book does not hold back - it includes step by step instruction on how you can use this process to dominate your market.

    2. The second reason: I am frankly surprised that Ryan has given away all the secrets of his method in this book. Clearly, he does not need money and this book is a testament to his heart and generosity in helping other entrepreneurs like me. His surprising personal story in the book does help explain this a lot.

    Ryan is both brilliant (former Ivy-League Neuroscientist) and determined - explaining why he was able to hone this technique and help over 45 clients generate over $37 Million in Revenue. Ryan was essentially the 'secret weapon' brought in under-the-radar to help companies dominate super competitive niches on the internet.

    I really like the way the different steps were treated with a separate chapter. You can go through each chapter and pick up the method and psychology behind each step. Everything has a reason and is well thought out (and has been thoroughly tested). The 2 case studies were very useful to read and encouraging.

    The only thing missing from this book is having Ryan sit next to you to coach you through the process. For a handful of dollars, you get the next best thing with a complete playbook of Ryan's fantastic survey methodology for finding out your prospects' biggest problems and customizing your solution to them. Result: more happy customers and bigger bank balance.

    This may be one of those books you have on your bedside table for easy access so you can absorb all the gems to raise your marketing game.

    Fui en contra de todos mis principios y no termine de leer el libro. La primera mitad te la puedes saltar COMPLETAMENTE. Son decenas de hojas de su historia y de como surgió el sistema. Básicamente quiere construir credibilidad para la segunda parte. En la segunda parte describe su "increíble" sistema que básicamente es spamear a gente con encuestas para venderles un producto. En otra review lei que si tú negocio es de vender Y YA, entonces este libro te puede ayudar. Si quieres construir una relación a largo plazo con tus clientes, hay mejores libros. Mejor invierte tu tiempo en:

    Este pequeño material se basa en una idea central que defiende que a la hora de idear un modelo de negocio debemos corroborar lo que asumimos como cierto antes de seguir adelante. En otras palabras, que no siempre lo que creemos que sucede es lo que sucede en realidad y que siempre debemos preguntar (de ahí el título del libro) antes de dar una idea por cierta. Esto pasa en el mundo del emprendimiento, que es a lo que está enfocado el material pero también en cualquier ámbito de nuestra vida.

    The core of "Ask" is to use surveys to understand your prospects better.

    If that sounds stupidly simple? It kind of is.

    But if that's all you get out of this book, then you're totally missing the point.

    As a marketing consultant myself, I've seen the online marketplace drastically change recently to become focused on behavioral and interest-based targeting. That means if we want to become more competitive, we need to show different content and products to different people, based on who they are and what they want to see.

    Where "Ask" excels is in showing you the detailed steps in how to ask the right questions that lead to actionable data, which leads to profitable results based on targeted interests.

    The author does this through a specific surveying process that he outlines in depth in this book.

    Of course, surveys aren't new. But I've found that most people do surveys utterly wrong. So much so that surveys have gotten a bad wrap.

    The only drawback I found when reading this book is that some of the detailed steps and images the author outlines would be easier to follow as a video. Although the additional resources and examples he has available for free for readers was very helpful.

    I highly recommend you pick up this book. It'll soon become the gold standard for interest-based marketing online.
